Costumes, props and equipment

Costumes

There will only be two costumes for our characters because you will not see the male character fully on his hands. For the young girl we will have to costumes on will be when she returns home from school so she will be in a uniform. This will look like a school girls uniform so it will be a polo shirt and jumper, with black trousers. This will represent her as young and innocent and mask what terrible things are going to happen to her. Later in the film she will be dressed in a plain white dress following the thriller theme. This will still make her look innocent and young and mask the bad things that are going to happen to her. This costume will detach her from her school life and bring her closer to the outside world and the harm of Jeremy. Later in the film when we see her covered in blood and dirt she will still be wearing the dress only it will mean more she will be completely detached from her normal life and in this controlled world. As the film develops her costume will show the transition from safety to the hellish world that she's trapped in.

Jeremy's clothes will not be seen but his gloved a hands will, this is to emphasize his 'controlling hands' and the puppet like dominance he has over Annabelle. Jeremy wears these gloves to signify his detachment from the world and his incognito nature, his sense of being 'un-findable'
Props

We will not need many props the main prop will be the doll that represents the school girl. This will play and big part in the link between Jeremy and Annabelle and showing the controlling side of our thriller. This will give the audience physical recognition of how the male character is controlling the girl, also the audience will be able to relate this element to other films they may have seen and compare the two.

There will be a TV in the room that hypnotizes the girl so we will need this to be included. Hypnosis, or other mind trapping / controlling methods have been used in other films to represent the control that the antagonist has over the protagonist.

As the young girl is playing in her room the TV captures her attention and links her to the antagonist by trapping her under this trance.

Fake blood, this will be used when the girl returns from committing a murder. This will be have a good effect n what happens because the audience wont actually see the murder so the audience will get the message. This will make the thriller seem more realistic because if we had to recreate a murder scene it would potentially look cheesy and not very well made.

Body paint, The girl will have lots of messages written all over her to give a more possessed look and an out of body image. The girl will have this on when in the woods to show she is fully under control and lots all recollection of herself.

Equipment list

We will be using:

Sony HDR HC9 Camera - This will be used to capture all of our footage. We will then upload that to iMovie for a rough edit and then use Final Cut Pro software to put it all together to make the film.

Tripod - This will give us a steady shot and reduce the shaking on the camera and improve quality.
DSLR camera - We can put still images in and use this to capture the location and images that we need for planning.
