How can I make my thriller appealing to my audience?
The percentage of people watching films online is 5.5%

This shows that if I put my thriller online it has much more chance of getting viewed, and this is beneficial because it is very difficult to get films approved for cinema viewing. This graph shows that by putting my film online, it will be cheaper than publishing via television, and will be suitable asset for publishing. Although films published on television receive 77% of all views, it would cost too much to be able to show my film on television.
Distribution of ages

Most people who watched thriller films last year were aged 15-24, so it would be a good idea to publish a film suitable for these audiences. I aim to make my thriller appealing to 15 - 24 year olds, as statistics show that this age group had the highest number of people who watched a thriller film in 2011.
Top films released in 2010
1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 is the No.1 film in the UK and Ireland in 2011.
2. Inception is the second highest viewed film in 2011.
This table shows that thrillers are very popular in the UK and Ireland, and it would be beneficial to release a thriller film in the UK.
As Inception is a very popular film it shows that thrillers are highly viewed in the UK and that I am likely to receive a lot of views if my thrillers similar to Inception. This may also show show that psychological thrillers are more popular than other kinds of thrillers, but it is not clear.
