Analysing thriller film posters

This poster is centred aroung the main character Leon. His name is printed on the side of a tall building, suggesting that he is very significant in this film. The same building is reflected in his glasses, which could mean that he has history or has a future with this building, it could also mean that the film in mainly in this building. There is an orange tinge to the poster wigh represents danger or trouble.

This poster shows an isolated island with a lighthouse and a leaning stucture. The island itself is dangerous looking and the title suggests that it is used for 'shutting out' people who are not wanted by society. The man on the poster, is shrouded by shadows indicating he is dangerous or in trouble, the fire signifies dangers and it glints in his eye. He is looking away which could suggest he is on edge or being chased. The bold red font that reads 'some places never let you go' suggests that the protagonist will have to force his way out in order to escape.

This poster draws emphasis on the man, and shows numerous emergency vehicles on the ground, indicating he is a possible jumper. The headng 'You can only push an innocent man so far.' suggests that this man is taking to extremes to prove his onnocence or that he has been wrongly charged with a crime. The man is looking down at the ground indicating fear or remorse.
