Plot summary - Set in rural Texas, Lewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) finds the remnants of a 2 million dollar drug deal that has gone fatally wrong. Instead of reporting his discovery to the police, he takes the money for himself. This move puts psychotic serial killer Anton Chigurh (Javier Bardem) on his trail, as he casually kills anyone that gets in his way.
As Moss desperately tries to stay one step ahead, the blood from this wild western goose chase begins to flow behind him, as Chigurh closes in. Meanwhile, the lazy Sheriff Ed Tom Bell (Tommy Lee Jones) cheerfully supervises the investigation even as he struggles to face the sheer enormity of the crimes he is attempting to stop.
